Shaanxi Provincial Public Security Department Acquires H155 Helicopter

Will Be Delivered Early In 2017

Shaanxi Provincial Public Security Department and Airbus Helicopters has signed an agreement for an order of one H155 medium helicopter for police, law enforcement and other public services, to be delivered in the beginning of 2017.

Mission equipment for Shaanxi’s H155 includes a powerful searchlight, an electrical hoist and rappelling system, firefighting equipment, and a loud speaker.

“The H155 will be a valuable asset for the security of Shaanxi residents,” said Norbert Ducrot, President of Airbus Helicopters in China. “It is a highly efficient helicopter which has proven its capabilities worldwide in a variety of public services missions, and is already being deployed within China, in Shanghai, Dalian, Fuzhou and Hong Kong.”

The H155's high speed and long endurance make it an ideal tool for police missions, as they can effectively help ground forces to accomplish a multitude of operations including air patrol, transportation of police force, firefighting, search and rescue, traffic dispersion and air command.

With the largest cabin and lift capacity in its class, the H155 can transport police units of up to 12 members to the incident area. Equipment can easily be loaded into the large baggage compartment. The H155 offers unmatched visibility and a discrete sound level for effective surveillance operations.
