Find the Stolen Cessna

An ANN Reader asks for our help; let's give it to him:

"On Thursday 8/14/03 my aircraft, a Cessna 182 N2504R, was stolen from Lakewood (NJ) between 5:15 and 9:00 AM. I would appreciate it you see it, that you call USAIG at 212-859-3856."

If this happened to your airplane, you'd want all the help you could get. Note the somewhat-unusual Cessna logo on the rudder, as well as the crisp paint job on this clean '67.  The painter's name is under the right-side elevator.

Note also that the machine is carrying an O-470 Continental in the cowl. That engine has just 60 hours or so, on a Penn-Yan rebuild. The prop has a recent rebuild. The seat belts anchor to the wing root -- that's unusual, as well.

Al's gotten approval to fly for the Coast Guard. After years of trying, he got the go-ahead on Wednesday. The airplane was stolen on Thursday.

There's a red interior, featuring a GX-55 UPS, a 175B and 170B, and a PS Engineering 6000 intercom. The two back seat jacks are located on the copilot's side, under the rear window. There's a handheld antenna jack on the copilot's side, near the tank selector, on the right side of the console.

There's also a $5000 reward, folks!
