Officials Unveil Personal Flying Machine At Industry Day On The Hill

Never-Before-Seen Technology Has The Potential To Revolutionize Transportation

Founders of the Utah-based start-up, ElectraFly and officials from the state-funded, non-profit organization, Deseret UAS (Unmanned Aerial Systems) will be on hand at the Utah State Capitol this Thursday, February 13 from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. for Industry Day on the Hill hosted by the Governor’s Office of Economic Development (GOED).

Exhibiting with other professionals from the Aerospace, Life Science and Technology Industries, ElectraFly and Deseret UAS will showcase cutting-edge technology that has the potential to revolutionize personal transportation. Founded in 2017, ElectraFly is an aviation company that has built a hybrid-electric personal flying vehicle. The company aims to increase lift capacity and flight times for multirotor aircraft (i.e.- aircraft that can take-off and land vertically) of virtually any size. Its innovations aim to enable multirotor aircraft to carry a meaningful load, including personal transportation, supplies, and package delivery.

As the premier organization in Utah dedicated to Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and Urban Air Mobility (UAM), Deseret UAS offers flight test ranges that advance UAS/UAM commercial operations by providing opportunities for companies like ElectraFly to commercialize their technologies.
