Ascent Vision Continues To Grow Counter UAS Solutions Business

Receives Contracts Valued At More Than $40 Million Over The Past Year

Ascent Vision Technologies (AVT) continues its steady growth in the counter UAS (CUAS) market. Over the past 12 months, AVT has received contracts for over $40 million in products and services to support anti-drone initiatives around the world. In a technology-saturated market, with very few counter UAS contracts being awarded, AVT has become globally recognized as a leading provider of portable, on-the-move counter UAS solutions.

“The explosion of small unmanned aerial system (sUAS) misuse and drone attacks has created a critical demand for effective counter UAS technology,” said Tim Sheehy, AVT CEO. “Over the last three years, our dedicated CUAS team has been developing, testing, fielding and improving our system to provide customers with the very best anti-drone system.”

The result is AVT’s eXpedtionary Mobile Air Defense Integrated System (X-MADIS), a fully integrated anti drone system that detects, locates, tracks, identifies and defeats sUAS. The system combines the capabilities of radar, optics, radio frequency detection and electronic command and control mitigation of the aircraft. The X-MADIS is unique in that it accomplishes the mission while the unit is static or on the move.

AVT has seen rapid growth this year, notching its biggest year yet for X-MADIS sales. The X-MADIS is in service globally protecting some of the world’s most influential leaders, as well as combat forces, civilians and critical infrastructure. These contracts have stemmed from extensive in-field testing and trials to demonstrate the capabilities of the X-MADIS to customers.

“The fielded X-MADIS units are protecting VIPs, veterans and civilians around the world, so it imperative that our technology is intuitive, fast and reliable,” said Lee Dingman, AVT President. “Having conducted numerous side-by-side tests against competitive systems, the X-MADIS has continued to show reliability and superior performance. We are proud to have established a powerful solution that is actively mitigating hostile sUAS in the field.”
