MU-2 Support Rated #1

...Among Business Aircraft Manufacturers

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries America, Inc. (MHIA) Aircraft Product Support Division wanted us to know the company was rated #1 in a recently published 2003 Product Support Survey. For its MU-2 support, the company received the highest overall rating among business aircraft manufacturers for both new and used aircraft.

This is the second survey in a row that MHIA was among the top two in the turboprop aircraft category. In the 2003 survey, MHIA also topped the business jet manufacturer category in overall scoring.

Evaluations were solicited from flight department managers, chief pilots, line captains, first officers, maintenance chiefs and mechanics. Respondents were asked to rate performance in specified categories including parts policies, availability, and cost, as well as warranty, technical manuals, and response time. MHIA was the only manufacturer to score all "Good" and "Very Good" ratings. The company also received only positive written comments from respondents.

Commenting on the survey results, Noel Takayama, General Manager of MHIA Aircraft Product Support Division, said, "Our goal is to keep the worldwide fleet of MU-2s flying. We are very pleased to hear that the MU-2 program received such high marks with regards to support. It is a testament to the dedication of MU-2 operators, as well as the many hard working people in our support programs." Approximately 350 MU-2 aircraft are operating in North America.
