AeroSports Update: Recreational Aviation Helps College Students

EAA Supports College Students Through Discovery Programs And Scholarships

The daunting college and career search is made fun and easy at the EAA AirVenture 2016 College Social. Here, students and parents can chat with representatives from colleges, programs, and military branches in a casual, relaxed atmosphere.

The social helps to get the inside scoop on unique career options, the best time to visit campus, how to apply for scholarships, and more. It also promotes mingling with others who share a passion for aviation and to discover how to turn that passion into a life-long career. Best yet, there’ll be free pizza and soda! The social takes place on July 29 from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Aviation Gateway Park.

EAA also has a scholarship program that encourages, recognizes, and supports excellence among those studying the technologies and the skill of aviation by empowering young people with resources to become the next generation of aviators. The scholarships, ranging from $500 to $5,000, are available to high school and college students who plan on pursuing degrees in varying aviation fields.
