ACI Jet Continues Growth In Central CA

Steadily Adding Customers And Employees Over 20 Years Of Operation

The entrepreneurial spirit is alive and well at ACI Jet, which is seeing a period of growth and expansion, adding customers and employees to its operation.

The company was founded 20 years ago by pilot and entrepreneur William “Bill” Borgsmiller at San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport (KSBP). The San Luis Obispo Tribune reports that the company is continuing to make significant investments in the business.

Borgsmiller told the paper that the company has achieved a lot of the goals it set for itself, and in the past couple of years "we started to think about what's next and what we want to do."

The company recently finished remodeling the old Wings West/American eagle facility to include 17,000 feet of hangar space and 12,000 square feet of commercial office space. It was renamed "Clark Station" as an homage to the first airport in San Luis Obispo, Clark Field.

The company also recently started a program to give employees access to an airplane through an employee flying club. The club operates a Beech A36 Bonanza, and recently acquired a Cessna 172 for its members to fly.

Borgsmiller told the paper that the investment and expansion will continue through the next year, and that the payroll will grow in 2017, with more aggressive hiring planned for 2018.
