Dassault Aircraft Services (DAS) recently named Robert Candler
as Vice President/General Manager of its new Reno Service Center,
set to open shortly. DAS – Reno will provide OEM quality
service and support to Falcon operators in the western area of the
United States.
Candler will oversee operations and lead the development of the
new service center's business, which is one of five in the Dassault
company-owned service center network. Dassault's fifth Service
Center located in Sao Paulo, Brazil will also open shortly.
Candler brings more than 30 years of experience in corporate and
general aviation to his new position, including his most recent
position as Vice President with Landmark Aviation, and Director of
Operations with Bombardier Aerospace. He also has experience
working in flight departments of various sizes. Candler will report
to Bob Sundin, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of
DAS.
"Robert's extensive experience, excellent customer rapport and
thorough understanding of regulations and best business practices
makes him an excellent match for this position," said Sundin. "Our
facility in Reno has been long-awaited by our customers who will
find our entire Reno team an asset to their operations. We will be
focused on a 'whatever it takes' philosophy from the moment our
doors open for business."
Upon opening, Dassault Aircraft Services – Reno will be
fully capable of performing troubleshooting, scheduled and
unscheduled maintenance and inspections up to and including the
“B” level, with capabilities eventually maturing into
more complex inspections in the future. The facility will initially
employ 18 dedicated Falcon technicians and specialists that will
focus on the Falcon 50 through the Falcon 7X.
"Go Teams" will also be on call, ready with technicians, parts
and tools in critical AOG situations.
