Avidyne Releases Free Demo S/W For TAS600 Active Traffic Systems

Interactive Software Helps Owners Determine The Best System For Their Aircraft

Avidyne is using the start of the 2006 Airventure festivities to introduce a today free, PC-based demonstration software for the TAS600 Series of active traffic advisory systems. The interactive software explains the technology and advantages of the TAS600, TAS610 and TAS620 systems and makes it easy for owners to determine the system that best matches the capabilities of their aircraft.

The software visually shows the range and service volume of the TAS600 systems and illustrates the coverage advantages of the patented low-footprint top-and-bottom antennas. The software also demonstrates of Heads-up Audible Position Alerting™ which verbally calls out target bearing, range and relative altitude for rapid visual acquisition of traffic. Pilots can see the more than 15 models of multi-function displays that are compatible with TAS600 systems.

The Flash-based TAS600 Series demonstration software is available as a free download on the Avidyne web site, and will also be available on CD at the Avidyne booth at upcoming trade shows.
