Want To Build An Airplane? Bring A Checkbook To China

Chinese Factory Makes Plea For Direct Investment

This is an interesting item from Shenyang, China, where that country's Department of International Cooperation Science and Technology wants to come up with a home-made commercial aircraft design. Here's the pitch:

The Department of International Cooperation Science and Technology Bureau of Shenyang, P.R. China hereby announces the following project that is seeking foreign direct investment.

The project consists of:

Expand research and laboratory buildings and equipment, civil airplane production lines, composite material factory houses and supporting buildings to form a General Airplane Research Development and Production Base with complete support, strong kernel techniques and large scales.

In recent years "space as a resource" has attracted extensive attention from the people. This has also brought a rare opportunity for development of airspace enterprises. Our country is endowed with a vast territory. Agricultural and forest production, emergency and disaster relief, sports training, commuting and leasing, air travel, public affairs and private planes, etc. have provided an extensive market for general airplane development.

At present there are very few general radio manufacturers at home. The technology lags behind and thus no good profits are made. Major large airplane manufacturing companies from abroad are still hesitating, which makes the company stay in a very favorable environment of competition.
