A J Walter Aviation Opens Network Directly To Airlines

Company Says The Move Will Improve Efficiencies In Repairs And Logistics

Independent component spares company A J Walter Aviation announced Tuesday that it is opening its repairs and logistics network directly to airlines, a move the company says should reduce costs and achieve better efficiencies through reduced inventories, guaranteed turn times and extended component reliability.

AJW says it spends in excess of $100 million on more than 24,000 individual repair orders annually, which is more than many airlines. "This gives us considerable buying power which allows us to offer very competitive pricing, turn times and warranties" explains MRO Director, Conrad Vandersluis. "As an independent, AJW also has the flexibility to choose only the best performing repair shops. We have worked hard to build this advantageous position within the aviation industry and our experienced team is now available to work directly for airlines seeking to drive costs out of their business and improve their asset management."

The company says it works with a streamlined vendor supply chain of just over 50 primary repair shops and 200 approved facilities. Quality, reliability and delivery underpin the priority service it enjoys from a wide range of OEM, premier airline workshop and other quality approved independent repair shops. By utilizing its significant modern Airbus and Boeing inventories, AJW claims to be able to underwrite this service with delivery guarantees as well as offering complete commercial flexibility to suit all operation budgets.
