Guess Who's Coming To See The Avionics?

Senator Udall Visits Aspen Avionics

Build a better mouse-trap and the world will beat a path to your door... but, build a better glass panel system and a US Senator may come to visit... ANN has learned that US Senator Tom Udall (D-NM) paid a visit to Aspen Avionics last week as part of his effort to familiarize himself with prominent, New Mexico businesses. While at Aspen, Senator Udall addressed Aspen’s employees and was given a tour of the company’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facility.

As part of his visit, Senator Udall also met with more than 40 members of the New Mexico Aviation/Aerospace Association, an organization that was launched in January 2009 to provide a unified industry voice to local aviation companies. The Senator took questions from the association’s members relating to critical business and general aviation-related issues.

“We are honored to host Senator Udall and the New Mexico Aviation/Aerospace Association at our company,” said Aspen Avionics President and CEO John Uczekaj.

“General aviation is an established industry here in New Mexico, and Aspen is a proud member of that community. Senator Udall recognizes the contribution our industry makes to the local and state economies and is looking for ways to support our interests.”

Senator Udall, a former congressman, was sworn into office in January 2009 as New Mexico's 17th United States Senator. In the Senate, he serves on four Senate committees, including the Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, the Committee on Environment and Public Works, the Committee on Indian Affairs, and the Committee on Rules and Administration.

“I want to thank the dedicated staff and leadership at Aspen Avionics for allowing me to gain a first-hand view into their important work. It is clear from my tour that the Aspen workforce is committed to delivering cutting edge innovations to the aviation marketplace and I am proud to see their small business thriving right here in New Mexico," said Senator Udall.
