F-4 Phantom II And A-4 Skyhawk From Collings Foundation Backed By UBC

Two Vietnam Era jets attending EAA AirVenture 2010, and which are on the airshow schedule both Wednesday and Thursday, are at AirVenture courtesy of a sponsorship from United Bank Card (UBC) and the company's CEO and founder Jared Isaacman. The F-4 Phantom II and A-4 Skyhawk from the Collings Foundation will fly in formation during the air show as part of the Salute to Veterans. Isaacman, a record-holding pilot, will be flying the A-4 and retired US Air Force Lt Colonel Jerry "Jive" Kerby, a Veteran F-15C and F-4 pilot, will be flying the F-4. The aircraft will also be on display through Friday, July 30 in both Warbird Alley and AeroShell Square for the public to get an up-close view of American aviation history.

"It is an honor to be able to bring two extraordinary and important retired military aircraft to the EAA AirVenture 2010 and to fly them as a tribute to the men and women who have served and are currently serving in our country's military," stated Isaacman. Isaacman is the founder and CEO of UBC, a payment and transaction processing organization based out of Hampton, New Jersey. Isaacman has led UBC from a fledgling start-up in his parent's basement, to a 10 billion dollar payment processing company serving business owners around the nation. Ranked by the Nilson Report as one of the largest payment processors in the United States, UBC currently handles the merchant accounts for over 130,000 business locations.

Despite the time and dedication he puts into his company, Isaacman still manages to make room for another of his passions: aviation. He began flying over four years ago and has accumulated over 2500 flying hours, predominately in jet aircraft. His strong interest in flying has led him to become part-owner of 26 North Aviation, an aircraft charter management company. His personal fleet includes a Citation CJ2, a Citation III, a G58 Baron, Two Czech made L-39 jets, a Canadian T-33 jet, North American T-28C Trojan, and three Douglas A-4 Skyhawk's currently being restored to airworthiness. He holds an Airline Transport (ATP) level pilots licenses, as well as a Certified Flight Instructor, Instrument Instructor and Multi-Engine Instructor.  Isaacman is type-rated and qualified in over 20 different corporate jets as well as experimental aircraft like the L-39 and A-4 Skyhawk. He is a member of EAA and Warbirds of America.

Jerry "Jive" Kerby

Kerby is a 23-year Veteran of the USAF, having flown the F-15C Eagle for over 20 years and the F-4 Phantom for two years before retiring in 2006. In his final assignment in 2005, Kerby was the first F-4 Heritage Flight pilot for the USAF while serving as Commander of the 82nd Aerial Targets Squadron responsible for target generation for all Department of Defense missile testing with a fleet of QF-4 Phantom's and subscale vehicles, He attended EAA AirVenture in 2005 for the first time and flew the Heritage Flight in the F-4 that year. Kerby is currently one of four civilian type-rated F-4 pilots flying the Collings Foundation's F-4 Phantom. He is the only civilian F-4 Certified Flight Instructor and the only civilian pilot with a Surface Solo and Formation Aerobatic card in the F-4. Kerby is currently also maintains a Surface Solo and Formation Aerobatic card in the MS760, T-33 Shooting Star, T-28 Trojan, and L-39 Albatross. He has over five years of air show experience with Team MS760, Vintage Thunderbird T-33, and the Trojan Horseman with over 150 low level performances in high performance aircraft.
