Aero-TV: Updating Your Attitude - BendixKing’s KI300 Solid State Electronic AI

Slowly But Surely, BendixKing Builds A Whole New Product Line

While at EAA AirVenture 2015, ANN CEO and Editor-In-Chief, Jim Campbell, took some time to get an attitude check.

He did this by stopping by the Bendix King display and talking with Justin Ryan, who is the president of BendixKing. The topic of their discussion was the new BendixKing KI 300 solid-state attitude indicator.

Ryan explained that BendixKing has listened to its customers that wanted a better way to provide attitude reference for their BendixKing auto flight systems. The new KI 300 is designed to replace the mechanical gyro-driven KI 256 currently in use. Ryan points out that the KI 300 allows the aircraft owner to provide solid-state input to the autopilot and gain reliability over the vacuum driven instrument while saving the cost of going to a complete EFIS.

In this video, Ryan also points out that the KI 300 is also available for aircraft where the autopilot is not a consideration. The video goes into details about the installation and costs of the various KI 300 configurations.
