AD: Diamond Aircraft Industries Airplanes

AD NUMBER: 2013-08-21

PRODUCT: Diamond Aircraft Industries Model DA 40 NG airplanes.
SUBJECT: Airworthiness Directive 2013-08-21
ACTION: Final Rule, Request for Comments

SUMMARY: This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by the aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product.

The MCAI describes the unsafe condition as chafing between the charge air tubing and the engine firewall that may cause a hole in the charge air tubing, which could result in loss of charged air pressure with consequent loss of engine power and loss of control.

DATES: This AD is effective May 21, 2013. Comments on this AD must be received by June 17, 2013.
