New Garmin G1000 Course Intro'd

Helps Pilots Become Glass Proficient Before They Fly

Pilots can now avoid the pitfalls, confusion, and expense of learning the Garmin G1000 in the air by getting ahead on the ground with the new Cleared for Flying the Garmin G1000 interactive CD-ROM course from King Schools.

John King commented, "After taking this course, pilots will be prepared so well that their hands and eyes will automatically go to the right place."

Martha King continued, "Pilots will not only understand and be able to use the fabulous capabilities of the glass cockpit G1000, but they'll know the quickest and most efficient way to do things and how to avoid the "gotchas" that can lie in wait for the unprepared."

The course covers VFR and IFR operations, navigation, communications, loading and activating instrument approaches, departure and arrival procedures, systems, what to do when things go wrong, and best operating procedures.

Interactive questions following each lesson test G1000 knowledge and teach G1000 procedures. With the new King Schools G1000 procedures trainer built into the questions, students actually operate a simulated G1000 on their computer to practice using the G1000 as they will in the airplane.

Cleared for Flying the Garmin G1000 contains 7 CD-ROMS and runs approximately 4 hours before interactive questions. The student can print out a course completion certificate for the checkout instructor, FBO or insurance company. The price is $249.
