Pacific Avionics & Instruments Earns ISO 90012000 and AS9100 Accreditation

Opens Doors To OEM, Military Business

Pacific Avionics & Instruments says it's achieved ISO 9001:2000 and AS9100 accreditation for activities in manufacture and support of integrated avionics systems for aircraft manufacturers and component suppliers.

The company is involved in avionics wiring and systems integration for individual clients, as well as corporate and regional jet aircraft through its contracts with various manufacturers and component suppliers.

Pacific Avionics is now listed on the Online Aerospace Information System (OASISTM) database, allowing customers worldwide to confirm Pacific's quality status, opening up opportunities in the military, business aviation and civil airline markets.

Kenneth Dandy, Pacific's vice-president and general manger, is enthusiastic about the positive effect ISO accreditation will have on the company.  "It is an achievement of major importance in the demanding field of avionics, where processes, accuracy and overall quality are the cornerstones of success today," he said. "We have made a positive step forward here, and it opens up new markets for us."

ISO accreditation also elevates production quality, customer-focused management practices and enhanced customer service, with highly effective corrective actions when necessary.
