L-3 Link Expands Asian Aviation Training Center

FFS To Be Installed In The Fourth Quarter Of 2014

L-3 Link Simulation & Training (L-3 Link) is expanding its Asian Aviation Training Center (AATC) training facility in Bangkok, Thailand, with the installation of a second Airbus A320 Level D Reality Seven Full Flight Simulator (FFS), the company announced Wednesday.

The FFS will be installed in the fourth quarter of 2014 and is expected to be ready for training during this period, following qualification by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA). It will be equipped with RSI Visual Systems’ XT4 image generator and an LED projection system.

“The decision to install additional EASA-qualified Flight Simulation Training Devices at our Asian Aviation Training Center demonstrates our ongoing commitment to Asia-Pacific and Middle East customers,” said Alan Crawford, managing director of L-3 Link UK. “The training we provide these valued customers uses products and services of the highest standard that meet a full range of aviation training requirements.”
