Rapper Pitbull Sends Private Plane To Puerto Rico

Being Used To Fly Cancer Patients To The U.S. For Treatment

"Fireball" rapper Pitbull is showing his humanitarian side by donating the use of his private airplane to carry cancer patients from storm-ravaged Puerto Rico to the U.S. for treatment of their illnesses.

The Hill reports that the Miami native told the New York Daily News that he feels "blessed to help. Just doing my part."

Puerto Rico was devastated by hurricane Maria last week. Officials say most of the island's infrastructure has been badly damaged or destroyed, and the recovery process is expected to take months or longer. The U.S. Defense Department reported earlier this week that only 11 of the country's 69 hospitals had power or fuel as of Tuesday.

President Donald Trump is traveling to Puerto Rico next week for a first-hand look at the damage caused by the storm.
