Experience Moves Up
HITCO Carbon Composites, an affiliate of the German based SGL
Carbon Group, is welcoming two new members to its management team.
Mr. B.J. Schramm will assume the position of Chief Operating
Officer, and Mr. Anthony Lawson will work to strengthen HITCO's Six
Sigma Program as Vice President of HITCO Excellence.
Mr. Schramm (top photo), who will assume overall responsibility
for the daily management of HITCO, has fifteen years experience
with Polycarbon in Valencia (CA), a key supplier of products to ATK
and to the U.S. Shuttle Program. Prior to his appointment as
President in 1998, Mr. Schramm held several management positions
heading up the Operations, Purchasing, IS, and Finance functions at
Polycarbon. Mr. Schramm is a native Californian. He earned his B.A.
and M.A. from California State University, Northridge.
Lots of history in California
Mr. Lawson has over
twenty years experience with companies such as Northrop Grumman in
Pico Rivera and Palmdale California, where for twelve years he held
positions including Vice President and Deputy Program Manager for
the B-2 Bomber. He later held VP and general management positions
with similar responsibilities at Burke Industries, Santa Fe Springs
(CA) and Everett Charles Technologies, located in Pomona (CA).
Mr. Lawson (right) attended the Wharton Executive School at the
University of Pennsylvania after earning his M.S. in Business
Organizational Management at the University of La Verne, California
and his B.A. from University of Arizona, Tucson.
"We are so pleased to have B.J. Schramm and Anthony Lawson join
our HITCO team. They are recognized for their customer focused,
results oriented leadership. I look forward to working closely with
B.J. Schramm, and Anthony Lawson, as HITCO continues to grow and
fill its remaining unused capacity with new contracts. The growth
of our company depends on the flexibility of the organization to
adapt to the production of the new products and technologies that
utilize composites. That is why we continue to be a
state-of-the-art supplier to the defense, aerospace and industrial
communities," said Paul W. Pendorf, HITCO President.
