CAE SimuFlite Opens North East Training Center

Facility Will Cater To Bizjet, Chopper Operators

ANN has learned Monday CAE SimuFlite's new North East Training Center, located near Morristown Municipal Airport in Morristown, NJ is open for training.

CAE says its six-bay simulator facility is home to entitlement training for Dassault's new Falcon 7X aircraft, as well as training for Falcon 900EX and 2000EX, Gulfstream IV, and Sikorsky S-76 aircraft.

"We are excited about the opening of the North East Training Center as we deliver on our commitment to provide high-quality, customized training in locations most convenient to our customers," said CAE's president, innovation and civil training & services, Jeff Roberts.

In mid 2004, CAE was selected to provide entitlement training for pilots, maintenance personnel, and cabin crew for the new Falcon 7X aircraft. CAE designed and built a Falcon 7X full-flight simulator -- the first-ever for the fly-by-wire business jet -- and installed it at its new North East center (photo below). The simulator is currently undergoing acceptance testing and certification. CAE says it expects to begin client training in April 2007.

"We have formed a training advisory board and worked closely with Dassault and their Falcon 7X customers to develop a comprehensive training program for this innovative aircraft," said Jeff Roberts.

CAE says it moved two simulators, a Gulfstream IV and a Sikorsky S-76, from its Dallas training center to the North East center. According to the company, the Gulfstream IV is ready for training, while the Level D Sikorsky S-76 simulator featuring full-size chin windows -- which CAE says can be reconfigured between the S-76C+, S-76B, and S-76 -- will be available for training in the first quarter of 2007.

Company representatives say it will begin customer training for the Falcon 900EX and Falcon 2000EX at the new center in the second quarter of 2007.
