FreeFlight Systems, CMD Flight Solutions Add ADS-B Out AML STC

Covers More Than 70 Part 23 Turbine Aircraft

NextGen avionics leader FreeFlight Systems has announced that engineering and certification company CMD Flight Solutions has expanded its AML STC to include Part 23 turbine aircraft. This allows for the installation of a FreeFlight 1203C SBAS/GNSS sensor paired with Rockwell Collins' TDR94/94D transponders for ADS-B compliance.

"We are proud to support the expansion of the AML STC with CMD Flight Solutions to include cost effective ADS-B Out solutions for more than 70+ different makes and models of Part 23 turbine aircraft," said Pete Ring, FreeFlight Systems' Director of Sales and Marketing. "Both CMD Flight Solutions and FreeFlight Systems are focused on providing all of the benefits of rule-compliant ADS-B operations available to all aircraft types, with minimal disruption to existing aircraft avionics."

The robust FreeFlight Systems 1203C SBAS/GNSS sensor was designed to be easy to install and integrate with other on-board systems through standard ARINC 743 interfaces, leading to flexible and practical ADS-B solutions for multiple aircraft types.

As a certified ADS-B position source approved for all ICAO jurisdictions, the integrated 15-channel 1203C SBAS/GNSS sensor is part of a fully rule-compliant ADS-B Out system when paired with a compatible, certified Mode S transponder like the TDR94/94D. The 1203C is today providing reliable ADS-B capability to fleets worldwide and also serves as an approved position source for CPDLC, TAWS/FMS, RNP and other NextGen applications.
