LED Displays Now Available With Night-Vision Google
Compatibility
Sandel Avionics announced Monday it
will partner with Aero Dynamix, Inc., of Euless, TX to offer
NVG-compatible versions of its advanced LED retrofit displays,
including the new 4-ATI SA4550 ADI- and SN4500 HSI-replacements and
the popular 3-ATI SN3500 EHSI and ST3400 TAWS.
Providing MIL-L-85762, MIL-STD-3009 and DO-275 compliance, the
new NVG-compatible products are designed for both military and
commercial applications to support such missions as transport, SAR,
law enforcement and EMT for both helicopters and fixed-wing
aircraft. Aero Dynamix is also an authorized Sandel dealer and will
provide sales support for military customers.
Offering significant maintenance and performance advantages over
electromechanical units, Sandel’s high-resolution displays
feature 200-pixel-per-inch screens — double the standard for
'glass cockpits' -- along with easy-install I/O and a full range of
NAV, reference and safety sensor inputs. With superior image
quality, an operating life rated in excess of 10,000 hours MTBF,
and the flexibility of modular installation, these turbine-class
systems represent an extremely cost-effective flight deck solution
for a wide range of digital and analog aircraft types.
"We’re pleased to be able to offer this important option
with our products, in large part because we’ve been very
impressed with the quality of Aero Dynamix’ NVG-compatible
solution," said Sandel CEO Gerry Block. "We know that many
helicopter operators, in particular, have been seeking affordable
NVG-compatible retrofit avionics, and this upgrade -- along with
our full line of vibration-resistant helicopter products --
addresses their needs."
Several NVG-compatible Sandel units will be on display at Aero
Dynamix’ booth, stands #2641 and #2742, at the HAI
convention. Further product information is also available from
Sandel at HAI booth #2441.
