Alteon Training Selects Aerosim-Mechtronix' Full Flight Trainer

Intended For Multi-Crew Pilot License (MPL) program

Alteon Training has selected an Aerosim-Mechtronix B737-800 Full Flight Trainer FFT for use within their MPL training program. This FAA Level 6 Flight Training Device will be used for the first MPL training course offered by Alteon in Brisbane, Australia.

Marsha Bell, Vice-President of First Officer Program at Alteon Training, commented, "The increasing demand for pilots is one of the most critical issues facing our industry today and Alteon is working with regulators, airlines, vendors and other industry partners to address this with our MPL beta test. We are confident that our partnership with Aerosim-Mechtronix will provide innovative simulation based training solutions for the MPL test."

The FFT closely replicates the Boeing 737-800 and features high fidelity aerodynamic and flight control models, RSI image generator, high resolution fixed-matrix projectors, and powerful Windows-based instructor station with touch-screen interface. This device will enable Alteon to cover the intermediate training phase which includes introduction of multi-crew operations and instrument flight in a high performance multi-engine jet aircraft.

Alteon is partnering with an Australian flight training organization for the core and basic training phases, while the advanced training phase will be performed on an Alteon's own full flight simulator.

"As the MPL training concept evolves, we are actively working with our partners to place the cutting edge simulation based training tools that will help prepare for anticipated pilot demand," commented Aerosim Technologies Director of Sales, Joe Hartmann.

"Alteon's purchase of our FFT is a clear indicator of the impact that our products have had on the aviation training market. We have always had an innovative approach to all aspects in our business," indicated Mechtronix President Xavier Herve.
