The Phillips 66 aero-fuel brand is
about to be a lot easier to find... throughout most of middle
America. Aviation fuels marketer The Hiller Group will brand its
existing FBOs in 12 mid-continent states to the Phillips 66
Aviation brand as part of an agreement between ConocoPhillips and
The Hiller Group to expand both companies presence in the region.
"Both Hiller and Phillips want to grow our Aviation fuel
businesses" says Rod Palmer, Manager of General Aviation for
ConocoPhillips. "Combining Hiller's marketing and customer service
strengths with Phillips refining and supply strength will position
both our companies to grow in this region."
The Hiller Group, established in 1975, entered the aviation
fuels marketing business in 1985. Today the company provides
aviation fuels and support services to over 400 FBOs, corporate
flight departments and commercial operators across the eastern half
of the US.
The company will represent the Phillips 66 Aviation brand in
Michigan, Ohio, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa,
Missouri, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Kansas.
"We're excited about the opportunity to represent a brand with
such a long legacy and commitment to aviation," says Marty Hiller,
President of The Hiller Group. "Aligning with Phillips in a region
of the country where they have refining and supply strength
positions us to grow our business. We will offer the full product
line, including avgas and both Jet-A and pre-blended Jet, to our
existing FBOs in the region and begin efforts to expand our
services and offerings to more FBOs in this region under the
Phillips 66 Aviation brand."
For 82 years Phillips 66 Aviation has been making and supplying
fuel for aviation. Currently, Phillips 66 Aviation supplies jet
fuel and avgas to a network of more than 628 Fixed Base
Operations.
