FDS Reveals New Line Of Ultra-Slim, Lightweight 4K Displays

Also Upgrades DVD Player With Low-Profile Design

Flight Display Systems has launched two new EDGE SERIES 4K Ultra-thin, Lightweight High-definition displays.

Measuring only two inches thin, the EDGE SERIES 4K displays provide brilliant image quality, while taking up less space on an aircraft. Designed to enhance image quality with increased color accuracy, contrast, and clarity, the new displays provide a 3840 x 2160 4K resolution to precisely reproduce over one billion colors.

The EDGE SERIES 4K displays are the result of years of research and development and have been engineered from the ground up to meet and exceed the most rigorous standards. FDS first introduced 4K displays for business and private aircraft in 2013.

Initially, FDS will be launching the EDGE SERIES 4K in screen sizes 27" and a 32". The displays offer flexible installation configurations from flush to proud. An optional front bezel attaches securely and seamlessly with magnets and can be custom finished upon request.

The company also unveiled a brand new Low-profile DVD Player for business and private jets.

The new Low-profile DVD Player provides high quality images with more than 500 lines of horizontal resolution.  To save space and minimize weight, the DVD player includes a slimline design with slot load capabilities. The player can be mounted sideways. Additional features include high-quality audio and a multi-language audio option.

A second model is equipped with inputs for connecting external composite video or analog audio sources. The FD932DVD-LP-3 and FD932DVD-LP-3-AV multi-media disc players both provide a high quality audio and video experience in the cabin.
