United Breaks Guitar, Artist Pens A Song

As You Might Expect, It's Not Very Complimentary

David Carroll was traveling to a gig on United Airlines, when the airline's baggage handlers broke one of his instruments, a $3500 Taylor guitar. Not surprisingly, as the Consumer Reports blog "The Consumerist" reports (huh?), Carroll asked for compensation. After all, he watched as the baggage personnel threw the instrument around on the tarmac. Other passengers reported seeing the incident as well.

United has been, shall we say, reluctant to pay for the damage, so Carroll has written a song, and produced a video, about the incident.  The lyrics include, in part:

"United, United
You broke my Taylor guitar
United, United
Some big help you are
You broke it, you should fix it
You're liable just admit it
I should have flown with someone else or gone by car
'Cause United breaks guitars."

ANN E-I-C Note: Hmmm, do you think that 'United loses Aero-TV camera gear for days on end' might make for a good follow-up? We KNOW that tune...
