Manufacturers Ramping Up Production To Meet New Airplane Orders
New analysis indicates that the global commercial aircraft gas turbine engine market will reach a value of $24.6 billion in 2013, as engine manufacturers seek to up their production rates to meet the demand from airlines for new aircraft by providing engines which improve flight performance and meet noise and environmental regulations.
The commercial aircraft gas turbine engine market is therefore forecast to record positive growth over the next decade, in large part due to increased demand for new fuel efficient aircraft, particularly from emerging regional markets, according to new data available from ASD Reports.
The author of the Global Commercial Aircraft Gas Turbine Engine Market 2013-2023 report commented that "The prospects for the commercial aircraft gas turbine engine market will remain encouraging given the number of aircraft expected to be required by airlines over the next ten years and the constant need to develop new more efficient propulsion technologies."
The study provides forecasts for the period 2013-2023 in terms of value in U.S. dollars for the global commercial aircraft gas turbine engine market, as well as for 2 submarkets (turboprops and turbofans) of the commercial aircraft gas turbine engine market. The report also provides submarket forecasts by aircraft type: narrow-body, wide-body and regional jet aircraft. In addition, 6 regional commercial aircraft gas turbine engine markets are forecast and analysed over the period 2013-2023. The report also provides profiles of 10 leading companies and joint ventures operating within the market.
