Flight Design: Four Place CT Series Aircraft Prototype Nearly Ready

Company To Seek New U.S. Representatives At Sebring Show

In what are certainly still difficult economic times, LSA manufacturer Flight Design says it is nearly ready to unveil its new four-place CT series airplane. Company CEO Matthias Betsch said that the company is nearing completion on a proof-of-concept four seat model of the CT series, and expects to show the new aircraft for the first time at Aero in Friedrichshafen Germany in early April, 2011. "Following the German debut, we will bring our four-seat concept aircraft to AirVenture Oshkosh," he said. Betsch observed that aviation companies with a vision for the future want to work with a company that offers a range of aircraft.

To that end, the company says it is pursuing additional professional organizations as representatives given what it sees as improving economic conditions. Building on dealers added during the downturn, the new initiative includes both aircraft sales outlets and service centers for the entire United States, and aims to better serve more than 300 owners of CT-series Light-Sport Aircraft.

The entire management team from Flight Design USA and Flight Design Germany will be present at the upcoming Sebring LSA Expo over January 20-23. "We would like to speak to businesses interested in working with Flight Design and will be available all during the show," noted Betsch.

"We anticipate 2011 will be a year of improving fortunes for all of aviation and including Light-Sport Aircraft sales," explained Flight Design USA president Tom Peghiny. "To assure our customers have access to the best service, and to make the CTLS available at a dealer closer to buyers, we are seeking to enlarge our distribution."

"Flight Design USA has done a great job for us, selling more LSA than any other company by a wide margin," said Betsch. "But we realize the value of representatives that are conveniently located, whether for flight demonstration and purchase or for service after the sale."

"With the goal of more localized sales and service, we have reopened our search for new representatives for our brand," clarified Flight Design U.S. Sales Manager, John Gilmore. "Aviation organizations across the United States can grow their businesses by contacting us about areas available for new representatives. As Flight Design has the largest market presence in Light-Sport aviation, we offer money-making potential that stronger organizations wish to acquire."

The Flight Design CTLS is a modern, all-carbon-fiber Light-Sport Aircraft with a wide, comfortable cabin and unparalleled visibility; flying 135 mph for 850 nautical miles using only 5 gallons per hour.  A full glass panel, Garmin radio stack, and a BRS airframe parachute are all standard equipment.
