ARSA, ATEC Offer Aviation Maintenance Scholarships

Educational Opportunities Made Possible By 10 Sponsors

The Aeronautical Repair Station Association (ARSA) and the Aviation Technician Aviation Council (ATEC) joined with the Northrop Rice Foundation (NRF) to give the gift of a future in aviation maintenance.

Through the participation of ten sponsors, NRF provides award and scholarship support for students, instructors, veterans and schools. This year, ARSA and ATEC continue their ongoing relationships with the foundation by once again underwriting the ARSA Scholarship and the James Rardon Student of the Year Award.

“The support of active, interested partners like ARSA and ATEC is invaluable to the mission of the Northrop Rice Foundation,” said Vince Jones, the foundation’s recognition committee chair. “To promote education, professionalism and safety within the aviation career field, we rely on those groups who serve every day on behalf of the men and women who keep the world safely in flight.”

Through their support of FAA-certificated repair stations and training schools, ARSA and ATEC invest constantly in the development and sustainment of the technical workforce of the future. The ARSA Scholarship and Rardon Award are perfect examples of the groups’ commitment.

“Giving back to a deserving student is a great way to mark the holiday season,” said Crystal Maguire, managing associate at Obadal, Filler, MacLeod and Klein, the firm that manages both trade associations. “The best part of our work is celebrating the people who have committed their lives to the future of global air transport. We owe them thanks for every safe arrival.”
