Ontic Acquires Woodward Product Line

Transfer of synchronizer & synchrophaser product lines completed

Ontic Engineering and Manufacturing, Inc., producer of OEM-licensed components and accessories for the aerospace industry, has acquired the propeller synchrophaser and synchronizer product lines of Woodward Governor Company. These products are for reciprocating, turboprop, and turbofan engines.

Ontic's General Manager and Chief of Operations James Gerwien stated, "Ontic is in the business of assuming complete responsibility for OEM product lines through acquisition or exclusive license. We will provide the highest level of support to customers of this reciprocating, turboprop, and turbofan engine business. Our ability to adapt to the changing marketplace and deliver acquired or licensed product -- for as long as the customer base requires it -- provides companies like Woodward with numerous and significant benefits."

"By transferring the manufacture and distribution of these products to Ontic, we can focus additional resources on our core technologies and improving customer satisfaction," said Martin Glass, Vice President of Woodward Aircraft Engine Systems.

The transfer of the synchrophaser and synchronizer product lines to Ontic was completed on October 1, 2004, Ontic has now assumed complete responsibility for the product line.
