Flight Design Dealer Heads Out To Show Off Its LSA

CT Tour Will Span Nine Western States

Spring is almost here... and one distributor for the Flight Design CT light sport aircraft plans to kick the season off right! Responding to a request from Flight Design USA for its national dealers to provide additional opportunities for pilots and potential customers to see and take a demo flight in the CT, Tom Dunham of Flight Design West will soon hit the road... er, the air... on a high-ranging tour.

"We will be sending Tom Dunham out on tour with the CT," said John Dunham, president of Flight Design West. An airport operator and A&P when not on tour, Tom Dunham is also a Certified Flight Instructor with more than 300 hours in the Flight Design CTsw.

"Many western customers have been waiting for a demonstration flight," added John Dunham. Flight Design West represents the CT in California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, and Montana.

The tour provides several opportunities -- both for new customers interested in the CT, and for existing CT flyers. Interested pilots may call or email Tom with their contact information (including local airport identifier) to see if he can swing by their home airport, and show off the plane ANN named "Best of the Breed" in the S-LSA category for 2006.

"Please be patient...we may not be able to get to everyone at once, but between now and summer, we expect to get Tom out to all of our nine contiguous Western States," added John Dunham.

Existing Flight Design West customers already flying their CTs are also invited to contact Tom as soon as possible with any minor service or warranty issues. "We will do our best to load Tom up with spare parts and tools to accomplish these service items," said Dunham. "For example, carburetor balancing is Tom's specialty; your Rotax 912ULS may need this simple service to run perfectly. In addition on-site Annuals, and BFRs can also be arranged by special appointment with Tom."

The spring 2007 CT demo and service tour is a joint effort between Flight Design West, LLC and their west coast dealer, Light Sport Airplanes West, LLC, based in Salinas, CA. Light Sport Airplanes West is supplying a new stock CTsw for this CT Tour.

The 98% carbon fiber, two-place CT features a 49-inch wide cabin and 671 pounds of useful load. It is powered by a 100-hp Rotax 912S engine and equipped with a BRS ballistic parachute as standard equipment. With a top speed of 120 knots, CT economy cruises at 112 knots, stalls at 39 knots, and can fly over 1,000 miles nonstop.
