SUBJECT: Airworthiness Directive 2009-07-09
SUMMARY: We are adopting a new airworthiness directive (AD) for the products listed above. This AD results from mandatory continuing airworthiness information (MCAI) issued by an aviation authority of another country to identify and correct an unsafe condition on an aviation product. The MCAI describes the unsafe condition as: It has been evidenced in-service that aileron trim actuator and rod spring lever attachment bracket-between frame 18 and 19 LH-on some aircraft may present loose rivets. If left uncorrected, this condition could lead to the separation of the attachment bracket which could result in loss of aileron trim and loss of artificial force feedback, and consequent reduced controllability of the airplane. We are issuing this AD to require actions to correct the unsafe condition on these products
