Pilot Dead, Found Nearly A Mile From Primary Aircraft
Wreckage
ANN is monitoring the sad reports of the loss of a pilot aboard
a PiperSport LSA being ferried from Florida to Illinois. While
media reports are the primary source of data right now, police
reports indicate that the wreckage went down in widely seperated
portions and that the pilot was found out of, and away, from
the primary impact site.

The last reported position for the aircraft indicates that it
had climbed to 6500 feet enroute to Illinois and that shortly
thereafter, the aircraft went down. The Hernando County Sheriff's
Office has confirmed that the pilot was a 23-year-old Illinois
resident, Scott Tezak and that while his aircraft went down in the
woods near Spring Hill, FL, (and not far from Hernando County
Airport) his remains landed nearly a mile away, in front of a
private home shortly before midnight.

The Hernando County Sheriff's Office also reported that Tezak
flew out of the Fort Myers airport about 2100 Friday and was
reportedly enroute to Joliet, IL. Tezak was reportedly providing
ferry services for a private owner and was otherwise a flight
instructor at the Blue Sky Aero Flying Club in Morris, IL.

The aircraft, manufactured by Czech Sport Aircraft, was marketed
for the better part of a year by Piper Aircraft under the name
"PiperSport" and had been sold September 13, 2010, registered as
N420PS, to Stone Tower LLC, of Joliet, IL. ANN will present more
info as it becomes available...
