USA Drone Maker ‘Skyfish’ Teams Up With Asset-Tracking ‘DroneLogbook’ To Improve Compliance With FAA Regulations
Skyfish, a US-based manufacturer of drones, has teamed up with DroneLogbook to make the pilot’s life easier by facilitating the collection of various datasets to improve compliance with FAA, CAA, CASA, Transport Canada, and DGCS regulations.
Skyfish’s Mission Control software can automatically cloud sync flight data servers as soon as the drone has landed. DroneLogbook collates the data to create reporting for regulatory or operational purposes. The M4 and M6 are equipped with dual battery packs to assure mission completion and device recovery. The chief difference between the M4 and M6 (pictured) is that the former uses four motors, and the latter uses six with a larger battery to support heavier payloads.
Skyfish’s M4 and M6 drones were designed for specific use-cases in the commercial and government sectors. They built their full (UAS) technology stack consisting of data capture, configuration, pilot UI, and autonomous flight capabilities which uses the Amazon Web Service (AWS) for the customer center and data management tasks such as exporting data for 3D modeling (with Bentley, Pix4D, and Autodesk).
DroneLogbook provides automated tools for maintaining regulatory compliance for UAV operations in the commercial, public safety, or educational sectors. It supports manual or automated importing of flight logs and accumulation of information pertaining to three areas: 1) Asset (drone and its components), 2) Operations (mission, operation, incidents, personnel), and 3) Organization (project, customer, location). DroneLogbook also supports telemetry from major drone manufacturers and their ground stations, and offers a free subscription for the hobbyist or organization with no more than three users.
