American Legend To Step Up December Deliveries

Get A Cub For Christmas!

Trying for a last-minute sales push to close out 2007, on Wednesday American Legend Aircraft Company told ANN the light-sport aircraft manufacturer has a limited number of available delivery slots in December for its Legend Cub.

Typically operating on a 90-day delivery schedule, American Legend Aircraft Company will produce additional aircraft through the end of 2007 and will make these Legend Cubs available to a limited number of customers.

"One of the greatest difficulties of buying a new airplane is the wait time for taking delivery," said Kurt Sehnert, American Legend GM. "We have shortened this delivery time down to less than 90 days so new owners can enjoy their Legend Cub as the perfect Christmas present. A broad range of factory options are available to customize the Legend Cub and make it you're very own."

Of course, more planes out-the-door equals more sales for the company. Last year, the Legend Cub -- a modern interpretation of the classic Piper Cub design -- was the second-best-selling SLSA in the country... behind the Flight Design CT, and ahead of the Evektor SportStar. No doubt the company wants to shuffle those numbers a bit in its favor for '07.

The Legend Cub is available as a J-3 style open cowl design, or as closed cowl PA-11 configuration. The open cowl model comes with a 100-horsepower Continental O-200 engine sporting exposed cylinders. The closed cowl model is available with the O-200, or with the 120-horsepower Jabiru 3300A engine.

Customers may opt for a bare-bones representation of a true Cub... or spec out a truly luxurious (and just a tad incongruous) two-seater of their own. Either way... American Legend will be happy to sell you one, and get it on the sales books for 2007.
