FAA Conducts Investigation Into South Florida TFR Incursions

Finds Aging Pilots In South Florida May Be Part Of The Issue

ANN April 1 Special Edition (Parody)

There has been a rash of TFR incursions in south Florida since the FAA began establishing the VIP restrictions in the area when President Trump is visiting his home at Mar-a-Lago near Palm Beach, and the FAA thinks it may know at least one reason that they have been so pervasive.

An FAA representative who was not authorized to speak to the media told ANN that part of the problem may be the aging pilot population in south Florida.

“The pilot population is aging everywhere, but south Florida? C’mon man. Have you ever driven in Miami?”

NORAD pilots who have intercepted some of the aircraft say they often can’t see the pilot operating the airplane. “They may be having problems seeing over the glareshield,” the anonymous source said. “It’s a lot like when they drive. And when you’re flying, you can’t exactly pull over and ask for directions.”

The source said that the agency is at a loss for a solution to the problem. ADS-B and glass cockpits may help, he said, but that is only a part of the answer. “We really don’t know. But there’s bound to be a government solution to the problem.”
