Both Courses Qualify For IA Renewal Credit
Conklin & de Decker will be
presenting two informative sessions at the Professional Aviation
Maintenance Association 2009 Management Symposium in Dallas, TX on
Friday, March 6, 2009.
Brandon Battles will be presenting a session on "Moving into
Management - The Often Overlooked Responsibility" on Friday, March
6, 2009 from 8 am - 9 am.
One new responsibility frequently overlooked in a transition
deals with the maintenance manager's new role in the analysis and
control of the organization's financial resources. When a
technician moves into a maintenance management position, the
individual will inherit new responsibilities and, unfortunately,
will do without much preparation or training. More times than not,
this combination creates an unfortunate and eventual frustrating
situation. This session will explain and offer suggestions for
dealing with common maintenance responsibilities that affect an
organization's financial resources such as budgeting, inventory,
and maintenance costs.
Nel Stubbs will be presenting a session on "Taxation
Considerations of Aircraft Maintenance" on Friday, March 6, 2009
from 9 am - 10 am. An area of responsibility that is frequently
overlooked when a technician moves into a maintenance management
position is the application of taxes to not only parts and labor,
but also depreciation of the engines and airframe. This session
will explain and offer suggestions for dealing with Federal and
State taxes on aircraft maintenance.
Both of these courses qualify for one (1) hour IA renewal
credit.
