Offers Unique Features Compared To Other North American
shops
Innotech Aviation told ANN this week it has begun construction
of its new 41,000 square foot, twin-bay aircraft paint facility
located at Montreal's Pierre Trudeau International Airport (YUL) in
Dorval, Quebec. The detailed design was finalized earlier this
fall; the hangar is scheduled for completion in May 2008.
The state-of-the-art facility is designed to accept aircraft as
large as the Bombardier Global XRS busines jet. Innotech says the
facility will be the most modern and technologically advanced
hangar for high-quality paint applications in North America, and
will complete the company's full-service capability for in-service
and new-completion aircraft.
Environmentally friendly, with state-of-the-art filters and an
independent waste water cleaning system, the facility will have
also feature variable speed airflow, eliminating the need to
pressurize the paint bay; and the capability to apply paint
electrostatically. The paint bay is uniquely designed to ventilate
and spray with a nose to tail cross-draft. Innotech says these
features provide a cleaner application, better adhesion and
subsantially less paint waste than with conventional spray
methods.
"We are pleased to have installed the first steel structures
towards completing this ambitious project," said Rob Brooks,
company VP and general manager. "Very soon North America will have
the highest quality paint application facility the industry can
offer. Already we are booking in-dates for the new paint shop, and
customers are encouraged to contact the company to book slot
availability for next summer."
Innotech Aviation has been a Bombardier Preferred Completion
Center since 2005, and is also an authorized maintenance facility
for Challenger and Global Express business jets.
