Including The World’s Second Airline-Operated Boeing 777X Full-Flight Simulator
CAE has sold five CAE-built full-flight simulators (FFSs) – 3 Boeing 777X and 2 Boeing 737 MAX – and two flight training devices (FTDs) – one Boeing 777X and one Boeing 737 MAX to support the growing pilot training needs of the airline. This order includes the world’s second airline-operated Boeing 777X full-flight simulator (FFS).
The innovative CAE7000XR Series FFSs and CAE 500XR FTDs will be delivered at Qatar Airways’ training center in Doha, Qatar, beginning in 2019. In addition, CAE extended its training center operations services, to operate and maintain the training equipment suite for the airline for the next 15 years.

CAE and Qatar Airways share a relationship that spans over 15 years, with the delivery of innovative training equipment solutions and training center operation services. Qatar Airways currently operates and has on order 8 CAE full-flight simulators, covering Airbus A320, A330, A350, A380, Boeing 777 and 787 aircraft platforms. This new Boeing 777X and 737 MAX FFSs’ order bring the total number of simulators purchased from CAE to 13.
