Rolls-Royce Wins Trent 7000 Order From New Customer Aircalin

Will Power The Airbus A330neo Aircraft Recently Ordered By The Carrier

Rolls-Royce has won an order from New Caledonian airline Aircalin for Trent 7000 engines to power two Airbus A330neo aircrafts, supported by Rolls-Royce’s flagship engine service, TotalCare.

The order marks the first time that Aircalin has selected Rolls-Royce engines. The A330neo is exclusively powered by the Trent 7000 which brings together experience from the Trent 700 which powers the A330, and technology from the Trent 1000 TEN and Trent XWB.

The 68-72,000lb thrust Trent 7000 will deliver significant performance benefits compared to the current version of the Trent 700. It will improve specific fuel consumption by ten per cent and will halve noise.

“We look forward to working with Rolls-Royce as we renew our fleet to provide even better service to our customers," said Didier Tappero, Aircalin CEO. We look forward to the outstanding economics and excellent service support that our selection will bring.”

“We welcome Aircalin as a new member of the Trent family and look forward to a long relationship with a new and valued customer," said Ewen McDonald, Rolls-Royce, Senior Vice President – Customers, Asia Pacific. "We are excited to be powering the future of Aircalin with the Trent 7000.”
