Twenty-Five-Year Deal Implies Mutual Confidence
Honda Aircraft Company has dramatically extended its partnership with FlightSafety International.
The two companies announced a unique, twenty-five-year agreement that will see FlightSafety provide ground-school and simulator training to HondaJet (HA-420) pilots through 2047.
The deal sets a strong, long-term commitment to aviation while building on an existing 15-year relationship that, to date, has trained and certified more than 600 HA-420 pilots.
Honda Aircraft Company President and CEO Hideto Yamasaki states, “We are committed to providing HondaJet customers with the best training, and the collaboration between Honda Aircraft Company and FlightSafety International will continue to enhance these programs.”
FlightSafety International President and CEO Brad Thress adds, “This is a key milestone for FlightSafety and HondaJet that emphasizes our strong long-standing partnership … We are proud to be the Authorized Training Provider for a state-of-the art aircraft like HondaJet.”
Honda and FlightSafety also announced that a new, FAA-certified, Level D, full-motion, HondaJet simulator is now operational at Honda Aircraft Company‘s Greensboro, N.C. (U.S.) world headquarters. This new simulator compliments one already in use at the Greensboro facility, and promises to shorten training queues for new and returning HondaJet pilots. A third HondaJet simulator is up and running at FlightSafety’s Learning Center in Farnborough, UK.
Honda Aircraft Company began HA-420 deliveries in late 2015. By 2017 the HondaJet had become the world’s top-selling twin-engine light business-jet. By extending their partnership another quarter-century, Honda and FlightSafety connote a mutual dedication to providing ever increasing numbers of HondaJet operators the best possible ownership and training experience.
