JetCorp Receives Challenger 300 WiFi STC

Certificate Allows Installation Of Aircell Gogo Biz Inflight Internet Service

An STC has been granted to JetCorp Technical Services for the Aircell Cabin Telecommunications Router (CTR) aboard a Bombardier Challenger 300 business jet.  Installation and certification of the Aircell CTR provides in-cabin Wi-Fi capability for the Gogo Biz Inflight Internet service. Aircell’s Gogo Biz service allows passengers to use their BlackBerry, iPhone and other Wi-Fi enabled devices to surf the Internet, retrieve and answer email with attachments, and access their corporate VPN. While in flight, passengers can enjoy connectivity speeds equivalent to ground-based hotspots.

Based in St. Louis, MO, at Spirit of St. Louis Airport (KSUS), JetCorp boasts full maintenance, avionics and interior capabilities. Director of Sales Kevin Kliethermes reports that the company has seen “a tremendous increase in requests for high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity from clients.”

Since late 2010, the avionics installation team at JetCorp has completed over 35 Wi-Fi installations in multiple aircraft types, including the Challenger 604, Challenger 605, Challenger 300 and Learjet 60. Through careful planning and proper staging, JetCorp has managed to significantly cut the downtime required for the Wi-Fi installation on the Challenger 300 to just four days. This downtime requirement is based upon utilizing standard installation parameters for both equipment and locations.
