The Revolutionary HondaJet Is Getting Closer To Being A Deliverable Product
When the Honda Company first broke into the U.S. market in the 1960s with their motor scooters, their sales slogan was, “You meet the nicest people on a Honda.” While at NBAA2014 ANN CEO and Editor-In-Chief, Jim Campbell checks on Honda’s progress with their unique corporate jet. Perhaps their slogan should be updated to, “You meet the nicest people flying in a Honda.”
Jim had the chance to talk with the president and CEO of the Honda Aircraft Company, Michimasa Fujino, and asked him about Honda’s plans for the remainder of 2014 and into 2015. He responded that certification testing is going well and will continue this year and into 2015 leading to the first aircraft delivery.
Fujino goes on to explain that beyond aircraft testing and delivery they already have developed a customer service center and network to support the aircraft after sales. He also pointed out that they are in the process of expanding their North Carolina facility to meet sales expectations and to support customers.
As the interview continues, you’ll see some great video detailing this unique business jet. From engine to airframe, this is an all new product from Honda made in the U.S.A.
