Nextant Aerospace Accelerates Schedule For Beechjet Upgrade Package

Adds Rockwell Collins Venue Cabin Management System To 400NXT Options List

Nextant Aerospace announced this week it plans to accelerate deliveries of the Nextant 400NXT to the first quarter of 2010. In addition, Nextant intends to add the Rockwell Collins Venue High Definition Cabin Management System to the list of options available as part of the 400NXT program.

"We are extremely pleased to announce the shortened delivery time for both the serialized production and retrofit 400NXT programs," said Kenn Ricci, CEO of Nextant Aerospace. "The interest we have received in the program has been great and we are excited to be able to deliver the product sooner than planned to our customers."

The Nextant 400NXT is designed to increase the speed and capabilities of Hawker Beechjet 400A/400XP aircraft. The upgrade includes replacement of the original Pratt & Whitney JT15D engines with the new, fuel efficient Williams International FJ44-3AP computer controlled engines, and incorporating the new Rockwell Collins Pro Line 21 avionics suite.

Nextant says the 400NXT performace upgrades will increase the range of a standard Beechjet from 1180 nautical miles, to over 2000 nautical miles (four passenger, NBAA IFR range,) while cutting operating costs by 27% in fuel savings alone.

The ability to shorten delivery times for 400NXT orders is due in part to shorter lead times for key components as part of the development of the 400NXT program, according to the company.

The 400NXT will be offered as a remanufactured serialized production aircraft as well as a modification retrofit program. The fully modified 400NXT will sell for under $5.0 million and will be available with various cabin configurations and entertainment options.
