Prist And Hammonds Combine Forces

PRIST Aerospace has entered into an alliance with Hammonds Fuel Additives. Hammonds' additive injector systems and microbicide Biobor JF are now recommended for use with PRIST anti-icing fuel additive. These recommendations will be printed on all PRIST packaging and similarly, on the Hammonds' product packaging.

The alliance marks the first time a specific anti-microbial additive and injection system has been recommended by PRIST. Extensive testing and research of these products has shown that peak performance of the PRIST anti-icing aviation fuel additive and Biobor JF can be reached when used together. Hammonds' additive injector system, a long-time standard in the aviation industry, has the proven reliability and accuracy needed to bring about the peak performance of these chemical additives in aviation fuels.

The partnership ultimately seeks to combine the separate steps of adding PRIST and then adding a separate dosage of microbicide into one easy process.

This would be accomplished through a joint product that will feature PRIST and Biobor JF premixed.

This is especially important because while PRIST and other generic forms of ice-inhibiting additive do inhibit growth of microbes in aviation fuels, they are not true microbicides such as Biobor JF, which is capable of complete "bug" elimination.

"We are extremely excited about our strategic partnership with Hammonds. As the premier brands in the aviation fuel additive industry, we are demonstrating that there is no sense in settling for anything but the best. Further, this partnership will no doubt result in viable solutions to problems currently experienced in the aviation industry," said Chris Arapoglou, President, PRIST Aerospace.
