Aero-News Proudly Introduces Our AirVenture 2006 Staff

Say Hello To Stringers Lisa Kondrick And James Aronovsky

With the final days before the official start to EAA AirVenture 2006 counting down all too rapidly... and, not quickly enough... ANN's senior staff is all-too-aware of the Herculean task ahead of us in reporting EVERYTHING that's news at The World's Greatest Aviation Celebration.

Fortunately, this year we'll have some help... and some really GREAT help at that. As we've already told you, Aero-News is bringing its largest staff EVER to AirVenture this year... and over the next several days, we thought we'd take the time to introduce you to the staff members -- both full-time, as well as our "stringers" -- who will be bringing our readers and listeners all the news that's fit to pixilate from Oshkosh this year.

And now, without further adieu...

James Aronovsky

James Aronovsky has been an aviation fanatic ever since as a six-year old, he was allowed to sit in his Air Force father's B-47 jet bomber and lower the flaps. (This was before there were such rules prohibiting toddlers from operating Strategic Air Command nuclear bombers.) James has spent over half of his time in the field of aviation. The rest of the time, he fritters away making his living as a magazine photojournalist and writer.

His most memorable experience was flying with the Canadian Snowbirds while on assignment for Newsweek Magazine, though most assignments are for slightly less glamorous publications such as Industrial Distribution Monthly, and Legal Assistant Today.

James currently lives in San Diego, CA. He has been a pilot since 1979 with over 800 hours logged. He is very close to completing his instrument rating and will take his checkride once he can neatly remove the ADF from the panel, since he only uses it for sports scores.

Lisa Kondrick

Lisa Kondrick grew up in rural Pennsylvania. Her mother's folks were Pennsylvania Dutch, her dad's were Cossaks, "so that makes me a hotheaded pacifist, I guess." She works at MEDRAD, Inc. a medical device manufacturing company in Indianola, PA. That is where she met her fiance and fellow Pilot Kirk Voeckle. Together they own a 1948 Ryan Navion. Lisa has been a pilot since 1992. She received her instruction at a very small airport called West Penn. She and Kirk are based now at P37, McVille, a grass strip outside of Ford City Pennsylvania.

She is a graduate of Penn State University with a Communications Degree and is currently enrolled in an MBA program at Waynesburg College. Her goal now is to obtain her IFR ticket as well as her A/P license.

Stay tuned as we introduce more of our stringers and staffers in days to come!
