Lockheed Martin and The Drone Racing League have announced the winning AlphaPilot team of the 2019 Artificial Intelligence Robotic Racing (AIRR) Circuit.

During Friday night's AIRR Championship, Team MAVLab, the drone research lab of the Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands, won the coveted $1 million cash prize, sponsored by Lockheed Martin, after their drone autonomously zipped through the track at a top finishing-time of 12 seconds – 25% faster than the second-place drone. Dog Owners in the U.K. are being warned to be on the lookout for drones over their properties after a rare liver-and-white dalmation dog was stolen from a home in Leicestershire. The dog went missing on December 1 from the home of Chloe Hopkins. Earlier, Chloe's mother Gemma said she had seen a drone flying over her garden. The dog and its bed went missing from the kitchen of the home. They apparently entered through a structure attached to the home. Here we go again, folks... While no actual physical or visual evidence has been confirmed at this point, a drone is being blamed for the damage to a news helicopter in Southern California. The crew of the KABC Air7 HD news gathering helicopter made an emergency landing Thursday after ‘something’ struck the helicopter's tail. Despite the current lack of substantiation, nonetheless, the crew believes their aircraft was hit by a drone. The new helo was flying at an altitude of about 1,100 feet when the crew heard a "pop," then a loud bang. Reporter Chris Cristi told KABC that at the time, they did not know what had hit them. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of AMA Drone Report!!!
