The First Certified ADS-B Solution To Integrate With ForeFlight
FreeFlight Systems announced today that the Company's certified ADS-B In systems have joined the ForeFlight Connect program. For the first time, the leading ADS-B app and the popular ADS-B solution are collaborating to deliver the highest quality customer experience available. ForeFlight will be working with FreeFlight towards support of the certified RANGR equipment.
Through this collaboration, the companies are conducting extensive ground and flight testing to ensure a seamless customer experience. Both ForeFlight and FreeFlight design solutions to the highest quality standards and, as a result, are delivering an unparalleled offering. ForeFlight Mobile's integration with FreeFlight's installed, certified, and rule-compliant systems ensures that users will receive an accurate and complete ADS-B weather and traffic picture. As part of the collaboration, ForeFlight Mobile becomes the preferred electronic flight bag application for use with the RANGR.
"Our customers have been asking for this integration, and we were honored by the opportunity to work with ForeFlight to achieve it," said Tim Taylor, President and CEO of FreeFlight Systems. "Through this partnership, we will continue to work toward providing customers with the most elegant and complete ADS-B solution available on the market today - for a fraction of the cost."
"We are excited to have FreeFlight join the ForeFlight Connect program," said Tyson Weihs, CEO and co-founder of ForeFlight. "With a connection established between ForeFlight Mobile and a RANGR system, customers can affordably equip their aircraft well in advance of the 2020 mandate and immediately realize the benefits of FIS-B weather and TIS-B traffic."
ForeFlight Mobile will be compatible with any certified FreeFlight Systems product that has the capability to receive data. This includes the FDL-978-RX, FDL-978-XVR, FDL-978-XVRL, and FTX 250 systems.
