FAA Certified: CAP10C

Just In Time For Oshkosh

As Apex Aircraft sets up its display in Oshkosh, the company has something big to crow about. On July 2, the Small Aircraft Directorate of the FAA issued a letter to Apex Aircraft approving a major change to the CAP10B.

The new wing structure, available in Europe since February of 2002, gives greater strength margins and a higher roll rate than the original design.

It is commercially named the CAP10C, and all CAP10 above serial # 300 have it. The wing can be retro-fitted to existing CAP10B, of which about 30 currently fly in the US. The CAP10 has been a popular aerobatic trainer for thirty years, and is often used in training for unusual attitude recovery and spins. Aerobatic performance, side-by-side seating and classic style give it a unique niche in the sport plane market. At Oshkosh Airventure 2004, visit the CAP10C at Apex Aircraft, Main Aircraft Display booth 220, just north of the Theater in the Woods.
